The Cemetery

Nita & Zita were buried in the paupers section of the Hebrew Rest Cemetery in New Orleans. Their funeral ceremonies were performed by a Rabbi as a mitzvah. Only one person attended: their neighbor, Betty Kirkland.

In Jewish tradition, visitors often leave a stone on the grave as a sign that someone has visited, someone is thinking of them.
