Glittering Globetrotters
Nita & Zita left Hungary, became U.S. citizens, and packed up their steamer trunks to perform all over the world: New Orleans, Shanghai, Manila, Buenos Aires, Havana, San Francisco, and Panama. In 1948, they bought a creole cottage on Dauphine Street in New Orleans where they retired from dancing.

- Panama Canal Zone multiple times from 1930 - 1948
- New Orleans multiple times from 1930 - 1950
- Havana during the 1930’s
- San Francisco in 1936
- Shanghai in 1937
- Manila in 1937
- Buenos Aires in 1936
- Berlin in 1939
- Budapest in 1939
In 1924, at 19 years old, Piroska danced to rave reviews in Billy Kouds Ritz Revue, a vaudeville show in Harlem at the Alhambra, a vaudeville theatre that became a movie theatre, and, in 1929, was expanded to include a ballroom that hosted performers including Bessie Smith and Billie Holiday.
In 1924, Harlem was a hotbed of art, jazz, dancers, singers, and performers of all kinds, with The Cotton Club nearby. The Alhambra Theatre is now called the Alhambra Ballroom and still stands today.
